What Time?
Q: How long will it take to replace my roof.
A: We typically complete a roof in 1 to 2 days.
Q: What time will you show up to do our roof?
A: Early. We like to get everything done in a day if possible and to inconvenience you as little as necessary.
House Prep
Q: What can I do to prep my house for the crew?
A: Thanks for asking. Putting your pets in a safe place away from the construction zone is the most important item. Please unlock any gates that would prevent access to your yard. (We will close and lock them at the end of the work day.) Moving your vehicles and other things around the roof access points are also important. Turning off your sprinkler system a couple of days before we arrive will minimize yard damage and keep mud to a minimum.
House Access?
Q: Will you need in the house during the roofing process?
A: Not during the roofing process, but when the roof is complete we will need access to the attic for an inspection of the gas and plumbing vents.
Shingles
Q: Do you have sample shingles to look at?
A: We always carry samples with us when we do roof inspections. We can leave some with you if you need time to make a decision.
Q: What color shingles should I use?
A: Darker colors absorb more heat but do you really want white shingles?
Metal or Composition
Q: Would it be better to put a metal roof on my house?
A: Steel roofs do cost 2 to 3 times more, but they last longer than composition roofs. They are susceptible to hail damage as well but the damage is usually cosmetic and won't affect the performance of the roof.
